How is the Accounting for Project Handover upon Employee Resignation Regulated?
According to Article 18 of Circular 195/2012/TT-BTC which stipulates the procedure for the handover of accounting tasks when project accountants resign. To be specific:
When there is a change in the personnel responsible for maintaining and recording the books, the Chief Accountant or the person in charge of accounting must organize the handover of management responsibility and bookkeeping between the outgoing accountant and the new accountant. The outgoing accountant must be responsible for all entries made in the books during their period of holding and recording. The new accountant assumes responsibility from the date of the handover. The handover minutes must be confirmed by the Chief Accountant or the person in charge of accounting.
Books of accounts must be recorded promptly, clearly, and fully according to the contents of the books. Information and figures recorded in the accounting books must be accurate, honest, and in accordance with accounting documents.
The recording of accounting books must follow the chronological order of the occurrence of economic and financial transactions. The information and figures recorded in the accounting books for the subsequent year must continue from the information and figures recorded in the accounting books of the immediately preceding year. The books of accounts must be continuously recorded from the opening to the closing of the books.
Respectfully!
