Yellow Light: Stop or Proceed?
At Subsection 10.3.2 of Section 10.3, Article 10 of the National Technical Regulation QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT on road signals, it is stipulated:
Article 10. Traffic control by signal lights
10.3. Meaning of signal lights:
10.3.2. The yellow signal means the transition from green to red light. When the yellow signal is on, vehicles must stop before the stop line. If the vehicle has already crossed the stop line or is too close to the stop line to stop safely, it may proceed.
=> Thus, when the traffic signal turns yellow, the driver must stop the vehicle before the stop line. If the vehicle has already passed the stop line or is too close to the stop line to stop safely, it may proceed.
