Workers Wanting to Return to Ho Chi Minh City After the Covid-19 Pandemic Need Which Documents?
Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport issued Official Dispatch 10722/SGTVT-VP in 2021 regarding guidance for registering support for necessary travel from October 07, 2021, and Official Dispatch 10399/SGTVT-KT in 2021, accordingly:
Residents of Ho Chi Minh City from other provinces and cities who wish to return to Ho Chi Minh City must meet the following conditions:
- Have permanent residence registration in Ho Chi Minh City;
- Have a temporary residence certificate in Ho Chi Minh City, or a temporary absence certificate from the local authority with the destination address being Ho Chi Minh City.
- Have a valid certificate of negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 (within 72 hours from the time of sampling).
Thus, if you wish to return to Ho Chi Minh City for work, you must have a temporary residence certificate in Ho Chi Minh City or a temporary absence certificate from the local authority with the destination address being Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to these documents, you will need a written permission from the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province to travel to Ho Chi Minh City.
**Regarding the method for registration:
Residents who need support for travel must submit a registration form for necessary travel support on the electronic information portal of the Department of Transport at the address: https://thongtin-sgtvt.tphcm.gov.vn/dich-vu-cong/dang-ky-di-chuyen.
Note: The travel registration form must be submitted at least 48 hours before the expected time of travel. The steps to complete the registration form are detailed in Appendix 1 attached.
