When Crossing the Ferry, Do Funeral Vehicles or Mail Delivery Vehicles Have the Right of Way?
According to Clause 4, Article 23 of the 2008 Law on Road Traffic, the order of priority for crossing ferries and pontoon bridges is stipulated as follows:
- Vehicles with the right of priority as specified in Clause 1, Article 22 of this Law;
Including:
+ Firefighting vehicles on duty;
+ Military vehicles, police vehicles performing urgent duties, convoys escorted by police vehicles;
+ Ambulances performing emergency missions;
+ Vehicles involved in dike protection, vehicles on duty to mitigate natural disasters, epidemics, or vehicles on duty in emergency situations as prescribed by law;
+ Funeral convoys.
- Postal vehicles;
- Vehicles carrying fresh food;
- Public passenger vehicles.
In the case that prioritized vehicles of the same type arrive at the ferry station or pontoon bridge, the vehicle arriving first will be allowed to cross first.
=> According to the above regulations, funeral convoys will be given priority over postal vehicles when crossing ferries.
Sincerely!
