What is the time limit for motorcycle license plate issuance?
According to Article 4 of Circular 58/2020/TT-BCA, the regulations on the time frame for issuing vehicle registration and license plates are as follows:
- Initial issuance and reissuance of vehicle license plates: Immediately after receiving the valid vehicle registration dossier.
- Issuance of temporary vehicle registration certificates and temporary license plates: Within the same day.
- Initial issuance, reissuance of vehicle registration certificates, issuance of certificates for revoking registration, and license plates: No more than 2 working days from the date of receipt of a complete valid dossier.
- Reissuance of lost license plates, blurred or damaged license plates: No more than 7 working days from the date of receipt of a complete valid dossier.
- Reissuance of lost vehicle registration certificates: No more than 30 days from the date of receipt of a complete valid dossier.
Thus, after submitting a valid vehicle registration dossier, you will proceed to select the license plate on the vehicle registration system and receive it immediately afterward. Therefore, it can be understood that you can get the license plate within the same day.
