What is meaning of using prohibited signs P.124 in Vietnam?
In Appendix B issued with National Technical Regulation QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT Meaning of using prohibited signs P.124 is as follows:
Sign P.124 (a,b) "No U-turn left (right) turn", Sign P.124c "No left turn or U-turn", Sign P.124d "No right turn or U-turn", Sign P .124e "No left turn or U-turn for cars" and Sign P.124f "No right turn or U-turn for cars"
a) To prohibit vehicles from making U-turns (U-shaped), place Sign P.124a "No U-turn". The direction of the arrow matches the direction in which U-turn is prohibited.
b) To signal that cars are prohibited from making U-turns (U-shaped), place Sign P.124b "No U-turn for cars". The direction of the arrow is consistent with the direction in which cars are prohibited from turning.
c) To signal that left turning vehicles are prohibited and U-turns are prohibited, place sign P.124c "No left turn or U-turn".
d) To signal that right-turning vehicles are prohibited and U-turns are prohibited, place sign P.124d "No right turn or U-turn".
e) To signal that cars are prohibited from turning left and at the same time prohibiting U-turns, place sign P.124e "No left turn or U-turn for cars".
f) To signal that cars are prohibited from turning right and at the same time prohibiting U-turns, place sign P.124f "No right turn or U-turn for cars".
g) Sign P.124a has the effect of prohibiting all types of vehicles (motorized and rudimentary) and Sign P.124b has the effect of prohibiting cars and three-wheeled motorbikes (side cars) from turning (U-shaped) except for priority vehicles according to regulations.
The sign has no value prohibiting turning left to go in another direction.

a) To prohibit motor vehicles from overtaking each other, place Sign P.125 "No overtaking".
b) The sign is in effect prohibiting all types of motor vehicles from overtaking each other (including vehicles with priority according to regulations) but overtaking two-wheeled motorbikes and mopeds is allowed.
c) The sign expires when the Sign P.133 "No overtaking is over" or at the location of the Sign P.135 "All prohibitions end" if there are many other prohibition signs that cease to be effective at the same time.

What is standard for Sign P.126 "No overtaking by trucks" in Vietnam?
In Appendix B issued with National Technical Regulation QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT Sign P.126 "No overtaking by trucks" has the following meaning:
a) To prohibit trucks from overtaking other motor vehicles, place Sign P.126 "No overtaking by trucks".
b) The effective sign prohibits trucks with a transport weight (according to the Certificate of inspection of technical safety and environmental protection of road motor vehicles) of more than 3,500 kg, including licensed vehicles. Priority according to regulations overtaking other motor vehicles. Passing two-wheeled motorbikes and mopeds is allowed.
c) The sign has no value prohibiting other types of motor vehicles from overtaking each other and overtaking trucks.
d) The ban ceases to be effective when the Sign DP.133 "No overtaking is over" or at the location of the Sign DP.135 "All prohibitions end" if there are many other prohibition signs that cease to be effective at the same time.
