A passenger car (Bus) is defined as follows:
- A car constructed and equipped to carry people and their accompanying luggage, with a seating capacity including the driver's seat from 10 or more.
- A passenger car can have 1 or 2 floors and can also tow a trailer.
The above is the content of the regulation on passenger cars (Buses). For a better understanding of this matter, you should refer to TCVN 6211:2003 (ISO 3833:1977).
What is a Long-Distance Passenger Car?
Legal Basis: Serial No. 3.1.2.4 Subsection 3.1 Section 3 of the Vietnam Standard TCVN 6211:2003 (ISO 3833:1977) on road vehicles – types – terms and definitions issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
- A passenger car (3.1.2) is designed and equipped for long-distance transport;
- This type of vehicle ensures comfort for seated passengers and does not carry standing passengers.
What is an Inter-provincial Passenger Car?
Legal Basis: Serial No. 3.1.2.3 Subsection 3.1 Section 3 of the Vietnam Standard TCVN 6211:2003 (ISO 3833:1977) on road vehicles – types – terms and definitions issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
- A passenger car (3.1.2) is designed and equipped for inter-provincial transport.
- This type of vehicle does not arrange specific places for standing passengers; however, passengers traveling short distances may stand in the aisle between the rows of seats.
