What is a passenger car (also known as a car)?

Legal basis: Point 3 of the Standard QCVN41:2016/BGTVT on road signs:

Passenger cars (also known as "sedan cars") are automobiles identified according to the Certificate of Technical Safety and Environmental Protection Inspection for road motor vehicles, intended to carry up to 9 passengers including the driver or cargo vehicles with a permissible load capacity under 1,500 kg; passenger cars also include vehicles with a structure similar to three-wheeled motorcycles but with a self-weight exceeding 400 kg and a total permissible vehicle weight under 1,500 kg.
