Pursuant to Article 7 of the Decree 59/2022/NĐ-CP, Vietnamese citizen’s eID contains the followings:
- Personal information:
+ Personal identity number;
+ First, middle and last name;
+ Date (day, month, year) of birth;
+ Gender.
- Biometric data:
+ Personal portrait;
+ Fingerprint.
Pursuant to Article 8 of the Decree 59/2022/NĐ-CP, foreigner’s eID contains the followings:
- Personal information:
+ ID number;
+ Last, middle and first name;
+ Date (day, month, year) of birth;
+ Gender;
+ Nationality;
+ Number, sign, date (day, month, year), type of paper and place of issue of passport or other international travel document.

- Its eID code.

- Guarantee order, safety, and security on the road network.
- Assist and support people and vehicles participating in road traffic when necessary.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by the competent authority as prescribed.
