What are the colors of traffic signal lights in Vietnam?
According to clause 4, Article 11 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024, traffic signal lights are in 3 colors: green, yellow, red; and may display or not display a timer. Road traffic participants must comply as follows:
[1] Green light means proceed; in case pedestrians or wheelchairs for the disabled are on the roadway, road traffic participants must slow down or stop to yield to pedestrians and wheelchairs for the disabled.
[2] Yellow light means stop before the stop line; if already on the stop line or have crossed the stop line and the yellow light appears, they can proceed; if the yellow light is flashing, road traffic participants can proceed but must observe, slow down, or stop to yield to pedestrians, wheelchairs for the disabled, or other vehicles.
[3] Red light means prohibited to go.
