- A flight attendant is a person who performs the duty of ensuring the safety of passengers during the flight, serving on board the aircraft as assigned by the aircraft operator or the aircraft commander, but is not allowed to perform the duties of a flight crew member.

- The specific duties of flight attendants for each type of aircraft are stipulated by the aircraft operator. The aircraft operator must arrange a sufficient number of flight attendants and appropriate to the type of aircraft.

What are the duties of the aircraft commander?

Article 76 of the Vietnam Civil Aviation Law 2006 stipulates that the aircraft commander has the following duties:

1. Carry out the directives of the aircraft operator.

2. Take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the aircraft, people, and property on board in cases of emergency or distress, and be the last to leave the aircraft.

3. Notify the facility providing air traffic services and assist as much as possible without endangering the aircraft, people, and property on board when detecting people, vehicles, or other property in distress outside the aircraft.

4. Take all necessary measures to bring the aircraft back on the airway in case of deviation.
