Pursuant to Clause 19 Article 116 of the Circular 13/2019/TT-BGTVT on elaboration of Vietnam’s aviation security program and aviation security quality control issued by the Minister of Transport, the responsibilities of aviation security assurance service providers in cooperating with organizations and agencies in Vietnam are stipulated as follows:
- Cooperate with airport/aerodrome operators in tailoring ASP and contingency plans (airport contingency plan and contingency plan aimed at responding to acts of unlawful interference) for airports; perform tasks within their jurisdiction when the ASP and contingency plans are approved;
- Cooperate with relevant authorities in managing, storing, operating and using works, machines and equipment serving aviation security assurance;
- Cooperate with authorities in charge of security and defense protection in taking measures to combat local crime; implement regulations on security and defense;
- Cooperate with police authorities, local authorities and army units in patrolling areas in the vicinity of airports and aerodromes in order to discover and take prompt actions against violations as prescribed;
- Cooperate with airports authorities, local police authorities, airport/aerodrome operators and relevant authorities and units in assessing risks to aviation security as prescribed; discover, prevent and take actions against aviation security violations and respond to acts of unlawful interference;
- Cooperate with directors of airports authorities, aviation inspecting authority and competent authorities in suspending flights to prevent threats to flight security and safety.
- Cooperate with relevant authorities in taking measures to protect important works relating to national security as prescribed by law;
- Cooperate with police authorities in escorting criminals.
