Pursuant to Subsection 1.2 Section VIII (The general education program on national defense and security education) issued together with the Circular 46/2020/TT-BGDĐT stipulating technical terms in national defense and security education in Vietnam as follows:

National Defense and Security Education uses a number of verbs to express the level of satisfaction of learners' required qualifications and capabilities. Some verbs are used to different degrees but in each specific case expressing an action with a specific object and request.

In the process of teaching, especially discussion session, making assessment tests, teachers can use the above verbs in the summary table or replace them with verbs of equivalent meaning as long as it satisfies pedagogical situations and specific tasks assigned to students.

Pursuant to Subsection 2, 3, 4 and 5, Section VIII (The general education program on national defense and security education) issued together with the Circular 46/2020/TT-BGDĐT stipulating technical terms in national defense and security education in Vietnam as follows:

2. Duration of the program

2.1. The duration of the program in classes

The total time for the whole subject is 105 periods, of which: 10th grade: 35 hours, 11:35 class, 12th grade: 35 hours. Based on the program of the school year, the educational institutions develop a teaching plan to ensure sufficient time.

2.2. Time spent on educational content

The amount of time for each educational content is arranged by the textbook author and the teacher based on the requirements to be achieved in each class and the actual teaching.

3. Teacher

National defense and security education teachers are uniformly regulated under the Education Law, the Law on National Defense and Security Education, the Government's Decree and the Circular regulating the Ministry of Education and Training; 100% of qualified teachers are trained to meet or exceed standards; being classified as having achieved or above according to the professional standards of teachers of general education institutions; teachers have their rights guaranteed according to the charter of the upper secondary school and the law; teachers are trained in teaching according to the general education curriculum and subject specifics.

4. Teaching equipment

Equipment for teaching and learning the subject of National Defense and Security Education must comply with the regulations of the Minister of Education and Training on the List of minimum teaching equipment for the subject of National Defense and Security Education and other relevant legal documents.

5. Implement the program in accordance with actual conditions and students

5.1. The program is built to arrange teaching according to the distribution of the whole school year program, the theory lessons are taught according to the program distribution, and the practice exercises are taught for each class, finishing within that lesson. (no more than 3 periods/day/week).

5.2. This program arranges the general content and duration. Based on specific conditions, the Departments of Education and Training direct the schools to divide the time, choose the appropriate location and form of teaching.
