Reissuance of driver's licenses
- A person with a driver's license expired

b) From 01 year or more from the expiration date, must retake both the theoretical and practical exams to be reissued a driver's license.
The procedure to retake the exam is carried out according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 19 of this Circular.
- A person with a lost driver's license still valid or expired for less than 03 months is eligible for reissuance of a driver's license.
The dossier includes:

When coming to carry out the procedure for reissuing a driver's license at the Vietnam Road Administration or the Department of Transport, the driver must submit 01 set of documents, take a direct photo, and present the originals of the aforementioned documents (except for the originals already submitted) for comparison. After 02 months from the date of submitting sufficient documents, taking photos, and paying the prescribed fees, if no driver's license is found to be seized or handled by competent authorities or recorded in the dossier of the examination management agency, the driver will be reissued a driver's license.
