The Validity of No Parking and No Stopping Signs
Based on Appendix B of National Technical Regulation QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT stipulating the meaning and usage of prohibitory signs as follows:
B.30 Sign P.130 "No Stopping and Parking"
- To indicate areas where stopping and parking a vehicle are prohibited, place sign P.130 "No Stopping and Parking."
The sign is effective in prohibiting all types of motor vehicles from stopping and parking on the road where the sign is placed, except for priority vehicles as stipulated. For buses operating on scheduled routes, appropriate stopping positions will be guided.
- The prohibition effect of the sign starts from the position where the sign is placed and extends to the intersection or to the designated stopping or parking position (or to the position where sign P.135 "End of All Prohibitory Orders" is placed if there are multiple prohibitory signs in effect). If special indication is needed, the beginning of the prohibition should use sign S.503f and the end should use sign S.503d "Direction of the Effect of the Sign" placed underneath the main sign.
- In cases where stopping and parking are prohibited only during certain times, use signs S.508 (a, b).
- Within the effective range of the sign, if there is an opening in the median strip allowing U-turns, an additional P.130 sign should be placed as a reminder.
The sign "No Stopping and Parking" is effective in prohibiting all types of motor vehicles from stopping and parking on the road where the sign is placed except for priority vehicles as stipulated. *
The prohibitory effect of the sign starts from the position where the sign is placed and extends to the intersection or to the designated stopping or parking position (or to the position where sign P.135 "End of All Prohibitory Orders" is placed if there are multiple prohibitory signs in effect). *
Respectfully!
