The Responsibilities of a Transport Operator When a Driver Concludes Their Assigned Duties
The responsibilities of the transport operator when the driver completes the assigned tasks are stipulated in Clause 6, Article 4 of Circular 12/2020/TT-BGTVT. To be specific:
- The department (staff) responsible for traffic safety management, the transport operator, or the management staff assigned by the unit must perform the following tasks: compile statistics on the distance covered by the vehicle as a basis for creating a plan and implementing maintenance and repair policies according to the regular maintenance cycle; compile and monitor the results of maintenance and repair for each vehicle; compile statistics on violations such as speeding, continuous driving time violations, daily working hours, route deviations, and interruptions in data from journey monitoring devices; report to the unit's leadership for handling according to regulations; compile traffic safety incidents during the vehicle's business transport operations on the road.
- The driver must perform the following tasks: use their driver identification card to log out information through the card reader of the vehicle's journey monitoring device; after finishing the trip or the work shift and before leaving the vehicle, the driver must check the passenger compartment to ensure that no passengers are left on the vehicle (applies to passenger transport business vehicles).
