The period for issuing vehicle number plates is how long?

At Article 4 of Circular 15/2014/TT-BCA regulating vehicle registration issued by the Minister of Public Security, the timeframe for issuing vehicle registration and license plates is stipulated as follows:

- License plates are issued immediately after receiving a valid vehicle registration dossier.

- Replacement or reissuance of license plates is done immediately after receiving a complete valid dossier; in cases where it is necessary to wait for license plate production, the issuance or replacement time shall not exceed 7 working days from the date of receiving a complete valid dossier.

- Issuance of new or replacement vehicle registration certificates; dossier transfer and vehicle movement certification; issuance of certificates for the withdrawal of registration and license plates shall be completed within no more than 2 working days from the date of receiving a complete valid dossier.

In case of reissuing a lost vehicle registration certificate, the verification and completion of procedures shall not exceed 30 days from the date of receiving a complete valid dossier.

- In cases of temporary registration, the temporary vehicle registration certificate and license plates are issued on the same day.
