Technical Regulations for Buoys Indicating the Limits of Navigable Channel
Based on Section 2.1.1, Part II of the National Technical Regulation QCVN 39:2011/BGTVT issued together with Circular 08/2020/TT-BGTVT (effective November 1, 2020), stipulating:
Boundary Marker Buoys of the Navigation Channel (A1)
Boundary Buoy to Indicate the Right Side of the Navigation Channel (A1.1)
Shape: The signal and marker (if any) are cylindrical, or a triangular flag
Color: Buoy, cylinder, marker, flag are red
Light signal: One short flash light (0.5s) cycle 5s, red light
Meaning: Indicates "The position of the buoy is the boundary on the right side of the channel".

Boundary Buoy to Indicate the Left Side of the Navigation Channel (A1.2)
Shape: The signal and marker (if any) are conical, or a triangular flag
Color: Buoy, cone, marker, flag are green
Light signal: One short flash light (0.5s) cycle 5s, green light
Meaning: Indicates "The position of the buoy is the boundary on the left side of the channel".
