Based on Clause 5, Article 57 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024 which stipulates driver licenses in Vietnam:
Article 57. Driver licenses

5. The validity period of driver licenses is stipulated as follows:
a) Category A1, category A, and category B1 license do not expire;
b) Category B and category C1 license expire after 10 years from the date of issue;
c) Category C, category D1, category D2, category D, category BE, category C1E, category CE, category D1E, category D2E, and category DE license expire after 5 year from the date of issue.

According to the above regulation, the driver licenses that do not expire include:
- Category A1 issued for operators of two-wheel motorbikes with a cylinder capacity up to 125 cm3 or electric motor power up to 11 kW
- Category A issued for operators of two-wheel motorbikes with a cylinder capacity over 125 cm3 or electric motor power over 11 kW and vehicles regulated for a category A1 driver license
- Category B1 issued for operators of three-wheel motorbikes and vehicles regulated for a category A1 driver license

What is the age requirement for obtaining an driver licenses that do not expire in Vietnam?
Based on Article 59 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024 stipulating the age and health of road traffic vehicle operators:
Article 59. Age and health of road traffic vehicle operators
1. The age of drivers and operators of special-use motorcycles is regulated as follows:
a) Individuals who are 16 years or older are allowed to operate motorbikes;
b) Individuals who are 18 years or older are issued category A1, A, B1, B, C1 driver licenses and certificates of legal knowledge on road traffic to operate special-use motorcycles in road traffic;
c) Individuals who are 21 years or older are issued category C, BE driver licenses;
d) Individuals who are 24 years or older are issued category D1, D2, C1E, CE driver licenses;
dd) Individuals who are 27 years or older are issued category D, D1E, D2E, DE driver licenses;
e) The maximum age for drivers of passenger cars (including buses) with more than 29 seats (excluding the driver's seat) and sleeper buses is 57 years for males and 55 years for females.

What are cases of revocation of driver licenses in Vietnam?
Based on Article 62 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024 stipulating the issuance, exchange, re-issuance, and revocation of driver licenses:
Article 62. Issuance, exchange, re-issuance, and revocation of driver licenses
1. A driver license is issued to individuals who have passed the driving test with satisfactory results.
2. Individuals with a driver license may exchange or re-issue their licenses in the following cases:
a) The driver license is lost;
b) The driver license is damaged and unusable;
c) Before the expiration date specified on the driver license;
d) Change of information on the driver license;
dd) Foreign driver licenses issued by a competent foreign authority are still valid;
e) driver licenses issued by the Ministry of Defense or Ministry of Public Security when required or when the person is no longer performing national defense or security duties.
3. Encouragement to exchange indefinite driver licenses issued before July 1, 2012, for licenses in accordance with this law.
4. No issuance, exchange, or re-issuance of driver licenses for individuals violating road traffic order and safety laws when they have not completed the requirements of the competent state authority for resolving the administrative violation case in the field of road traffic order and safety.
5. A driver license is revoked in the following cases:
a) The person with a driver license does not meet the health conditions according to the conclusion of a medical examination facility for each category of driver license;
b) The driver license was issued incorrectly;
c) The driver license has exceeded the retention period or the statute of limitations for enforcing administrative penalty decisions according to the law on administrative violation handling if the violator does not come to receive it without a legitimate reason.
