Regulations on Passenger Transport Vehicles Operating on Fixed Routes
Passenger transport vehicles on fixed routes are stipulated in Article 20 of Circular 12/2020/TT-BGTVT. To be specific:
- Must meet the regulations in Clause 4, Article 4 of Decree No. 10/2020/ND-CP.
- Information must be posted according to the regulations in Clause 4, Article 19 of this Circular.
- The quantity, quality, and arrangement of seats, and berths in the vehicle must be in accordance with the vehicle's design and numbered sequentially from the front to the back of the vehicle.
- The vehicle must be equipped with escape tools, fire extinguishers that are usable and within the prescribed expiration date.
- Must have a “FIXED ROUTE VEHICLE” badge as per the template specified in Appendix 4 issued with this Circular. The badge must be fixed at the top right corner just below the inspection stamp, on the inside front windshield of the vehicle.
- Behind the seats or beside the berths, there must be a Safety and Emergency Exit Guide, including: regulations that seat belts must be fastened before the vehicle moves and instructions on how to fasten seat belts (if any); luggage arrangement guide; no-smoking signs on the vehicle; instructions for using the vehicle's electrical system (if any); instructions on how to use the fire extinguisher, escape hammer, and emergency exit procedures in case of an incident.
- At the same time, each vehicle is only allowed to register and operate a maximum of 02 fixed passenger transport routes, and these routes are allowed to be consecutive (with the terminal of the completed route being the starting terminal of the next route).
