Regarding the Plan for Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, How are the Termination of Medical Treatment and Disinfection Reporting Regulated?
Based on Section 4, Chapter III of the Guidelines for Disinfection in Airport Areas and Aircraft in the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (promulgated with Decision No. 5789/QD-BYT in 2021 by the Ministry of Health), the provisions on the conclusion of medical treatment and reporting are as follows:
- Medical treatment personnel shall remove and collect personal protective equipment and medical waste into designated medical waste bins as per regulations.
- Disinfect hands with soap or disinfectant solution (60-80% alcohol concentration for hand hygiene), and disinfect equipment using a solution with at least 70% alcohol concentration.
- After completing the disinfection process, the disinfection personnel shall hand over the disinfected area to the representative of the airport or the person responsible for the area.
- The airport representative, upon receiving information from the disinfection personnel, shall report to the shift leader, duty manager, and related leaders once the process is completed.
Based on Section 2, Chapter III of the Guidelines for Disinfection in Airport Areas and Aircraft in the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (promulgated with Decision No. 5789/QD-BYT in 2021 by the Ministry of Health), the provisions on the preparation for disinfecting passenger terminals in the prevention and control of infectious diseases are as follows:
+ Inform relevant authorities, agencies, units, and individuals (airport authority, airport operators, businesses operating at the airport, airlines, ground service units, etc.) to coordinate and ensure the safety of people and equipment that might be affected during the disinfection process.
+ Arrange medical treatment personnel according to actual needs and professional requirements.
+ Provide personal protective equipment (including clothing, glasses, hats, masks, gloves, boots), soap, disinfectant solution (60-80% alcohol concentration for hand hygiene, and at least 70% alcohol for equipment disinfection), and necessary equipment and tools.
+ Ensure the appropriate equipment and chemicals for disinfection devices.
+ Prepare bins and bags for waste disposal.
+ Arrange transportation means for equipment, tools, chemicals, and infectious waste according to biological safety regulations.
