Principles for Issuing Badges and Plates for Commercial Transport Vehicles

Based on Clause 1, Article 22 of Decree 10/2020/ND-CP (Effective from April 1, 2020), it is stipulated that businesses with a transport business license by automobile are issued badges, signage for their automobiles that correspond to the type of business they are licensed for and must adhere to the following principles:

- At any given time, each vehicle is only issued and can use one type of badge or signage corresponding to one type of transport business;

- Automobiles with the badge "CONTAINER TRUCK" are allowed to transport containers and other goods. Vehicles with the badge "TRUCK" or "TRACTOR" are not permitted to transport containers;

- Enterprises, transport cooperatives engaging in passenger transport on fixed routes are issued intercity transfer vehicle badges by the Department of Transport at both ends of the route.
