What are details of the List of health standards for drivers, operators of special motorcycles in Vietnam from January 1, 2025?
On November 16, 2024, the Minister of Health of Vietnam issued Circular 36/2024/TT-BYT regulating health standards and health examinations for operators of special motorcycles; periodic health examinations for professional automobile drivers; and the health database for operators of special motorcycles.
Based on Appendix 1 issued with Circular 36/2024/TT-BYT, the health standards table for operators of special motorcycles is prescribed as follows:

What are regulations on health examination costs for drivers in Vietnam?
According to Article 6 of Circular 36/2024/TT-BYT, health examination costs for vehicle drivers are regulated as follows:
Article 6. Health examination costs for vehicle drivers
Health examination costs for operators of special motorcycles are implemented according to the regulations in Article 33 of Circular No. 32/2023/TT-BYT.
According to the above regulations, health examination costs for operators of special motorcycles are as follows:
- Organizations and individuals requesting health examinations must pay the examination fees to the health examination facility, based on the service price for medical examination and treatment approved by the competent state authority or agreed upon by the two parties, except for cases exempted or reduced as per the law.
- If the examinee requires issuance of two or more health certificates, they must pay an additional fee for issuance of the health certificate as per the regulations of that medical examination and treatment facility.
- The collection, submission, management, and use of revenue from health examination fees are carried out according to legal provisions.
What documents must a driver carry when participating in road traffic in Vietnam?
According to Article 56 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024, when participating in road traffic, a driver must carry the following documents:
- Vehicle registration certificate or a certified copy of the vehicle registration certificate accompanied by the original confirmation documents from the credit institution, foreign bank branch that is effective in the case the vehicle is mortgaged at the credit institution, foreign bank branch
- Driver’s license appropriate to the type of vehicle being operated
- Certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection for motor vehicles as prescribed by law
- Compulsory civil liability insurance certificate of the motor vehicle owner.
