Is it possible to drink alcohol or beer on trains in Vietnam?
people go to the countryside a lot near the ceremony, the travel by train is also quite large, so I want to ask: According to the law of Vietnam, when getting on the train, is it possible to drink alcohol or beer?
Pursuant to Article 10 of the Law on Prevention and Control of Harms of Alcohol and Beer 2019 and Article 3 of Decree 24/2020/ND-CP stipulating places for not drinking alcohol and beer as follows:
1. Health facilities.
2. Educational institutions during teaching, learning and working hours.
3. Nursing care centers and recreational centers for minors.
4. Rehabilitation centers, compulsory educational institutions, reform schools, prisons and other detention facilities.
5. Social protection centers.
6. Workplaces of regulatory authorities, political organizations, socio-political organizations, socio-political-professional organizations and public service providers during working hours, except for places where the trade in alcoholic beverages is allowed.
7. Public places prescribed by the Government.
8. Parks, except restaurants inside the boundaries of parks which have obtained licenses to trade in alcoholic beverages before the effective date of this Decree.
9. Bus stops.
10. Cinemas, theaters, cultural and sports centers during the period of events that they host according to their licensed main purposes, tasks and functions, except when they host food and cultural events where consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted.
Thus, according to the above regulations, the law does not prohibit the drinking of beer and alcohol on trains. However, each passenger transport business unit has its own rules to show whether or not to allow drinking of this beer or alcohol while sitting on the train in Vietnam. Therefore, if you want to know exactly, you should ask before buying train tickets, bus tickets to the country.
Best Regards!
