Is Bringing the Vehicle Necessary for Registering an Electric Motorcycle?

Based on the provisions of Circular 58/2020/TT-BCA, electric scooters must be registered to obtain a certificate and license plate before circulation.

Clause 2, Article 6 of Circular 58/2020/TT-BCA also stipulates:

The vehicle owner is responsible for bringing the vehicle to the vehicle registration authority for inspection in the case of initial registration, name transfer registration, modified vehicles, and color change vehicles.

Thus, for electric scooters in particular, and other vehicles that require registration in general, when registering the vehicle, the owner must bring the vehicle to the vehicle registration authority for inspection before the vehicle registration certificate and license plate are issued.
