Is a 17-Year-Old Allowed to Independently Purchase a Motorcycle with a 110 cm³ Engine?
According to Clause 2 Article 21 of the Civil Code 2015, individuals from the age of full fifteen to under eighteen years old are not permitted to independently engage in civil transactions related to real estate, movable property requiring registration, and other civil transactions as stipulated by law (unless the legal representative consents).
Additionally, according to the provisions at Point b Clause 1 Article 60 of the Road Traffic Law 2008, individuals aged 18 and above are allowed to operate two-wheeled motorcycles, three-wheeled motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of 50 cm3 or more, and similar vehicles; trucks, tractors with a load capacity of under 3,500 kg; and passenger cars with up to 9 seats.
Thus, as you are currently 17 years old, you are not of age to operate a vehicle with a cylinder capacity of 110 cm3 and not permitted to independently purchase a motorcycle (movable property requiring registration must have the consent of the legal representative). Therefore, you cannot independently purchase a vehicle in this case.
Respectfully!
