Is a 16-Year-Old Allowed to Ride an R15 V3 to School?
According to the provisions at Points a, b, Clause 1, Article 60 of the Road Traffic Law 2008, it is stipulated as follows:
- Persons who are 16 years old or older are allowed to ride motorbikes with a cylinder capacity of less than 50 cm3.
- Persons who are 18 years old or older are allowed to ride two-wheeled motorcycles, three-wheeled motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of 50 cm3 or more and other vehicles with similar structures; trucks, tractors with a payload of less than 3,500 kg; cars carrying up to 9 seats.
Based on the above regulation, persons who are 16 years old or older are allowed to ride motorbikes with a cylinder capacity of less than 50 cm3. Therefore, since you are only 16 years old, you do not meet the age requirement to operate a motorcycle (R15 V3).
Additionally, you can refer to the following detailed article: What is the penalty for a 17-year-old operating a 125 cm3 motorbike?
Sincerely!
