Answer: According to Article 63 of the National Technical Regulation QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT on Road Signs, the positions for placing fixed barriers are specified as follows:
- Fixed barriers are placed at positions where the road narrows, at the head of bridges, culverts or at the beginning of prohibited roads, dead-end roads, where vehicles and people are not allowed to pass.
- On both ends of bridges where the bridge width is narrower than the roadbed width, barriers with protective guardrails are used; these guardrails are painted or equipped with reflective markers that function as guideposts.
- On both ends of culverts where the culvert length is narrower than the roadbed width, barriers with protective guardrails or protective walls are used. These walls or guardrails are painted or equipped with reflective markers that function as guideposts.
=> Thus, according to the above-mentioned regulations, fixed barriers are placed at the specified positions.
2. What are the requirements for fixed barriers used in road traffic?
