In 2020, Is a Driver's License Required for Vehicles Under 50cc?
The legal age for driving is stipulated in Clause 1, Article 60 of the 2008 Law on Road Traffic as follows:
Individuals aged 16 years or older are permitted to drive motorcycles with an engine capacity of less than 50 cm^3^;
...
Regarding the driving license stipulated in Article 59 of this Law:
Category A1 is issued to individuals driving two-wheeled motorcycles with an engine capacity from 50 cm^3^ to less than 175 cm^3^;
Category A2 is issued to individuals driving two-wheeled motorcycles with an engine capacity of 175 cm^3^ or more and the types of vehicles specified for the Category A1 driving license;
Category A3 is issued to individuals driving three-wheeled motorcycles, the types of vehicles specified for the Category A1 driving license, and similar vehicles.
According to the above regulation, the Category A1 driving license is the lowest class license issued to individuals operating two-wheeled motorcycles with an engine capacity from 50 cm^3^ to less than 175 cm^3^.
Therefore, in the event that you are 16 years old and operating a motorcycle with an engine capacity of less than 50 cm^3^, you do not need a driving license.
Respectfully!
