How much is the fine for opening a car wash on the sidewalk?
According to Point b Clause 5 and Point d Clause 10 Article 12 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, the regulations are as follows:
- A fine ranging from VND 2,000,000 to VND 3,000,000 for individuals, and from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 for organizations shall be imposed for committing any of the following violations: Unauthorized use of urban roads, sidewalks for: Holding markets; providing food and beverage services; displaying and selling goods; repairing vehicles, machinery, equipment; car washing; placing or hanging signage, advertisements; constructing or placing platforms; making canopies or engaging in other activities that obstruct traffic, except for violations specified at points d, dd, e, g of clause 6; clause 7; point a clause 8 of this Article;
- Remedial measures: Required to remove vehicles, materials, goods, machines, equipment, signage, advertisements, and other items, and restore the original condition altered due to the administrative violation.
Therefore, in the case where your father uses the sidewalk for car washing, he may be fined from VND 2 million to VND 3 million and the above-mentioned remedial measures may be applied.
