How Many Years of Driving Experience Are Required to Take the Exam to Upgrade from Category C to E?
Based on Point d, Clause 3, Article 7 of Circular 12/2017/TT-BGTVT, it is stipulated that: Learners seeking to upgrade their driver's license must have sufficient driving experience or professional driving time and the number of safe driving kilometers as follows:
Class B2 to D, and C to E: professional driving time of 05 years or more and 100,000 kilometers of safe driving or more.
Thus, learners looking to upgrade their driver's license from Class C to E must have a professional driving time of 05 years or more. Currently, you have driven for more than 04 years, which does not meet the required driving time for upgrading.
Note: In case the learner upgrading the class commits an administrative violation in the field of road traffic with the penalty of having their driver's license revoked, the safe driving time is calculated from the date the administrative violation penalty decision is fully implemented (Clause 5, Article 1 of Circular 38/2019/TT-BGTVT).
Respectfully!
