[1] Lookup by license plate
Step 1: Access the Traffic Police Department’s website at https://www.csgt.vn
Step 2: Go to the Traffic Violation Lookup by Image section on the right side of the screen.
Step 3: Enter lookup information
Enter the license plate number for lookup, select "Motorbike," enter the security code, and click "Lookup."
Step 4: Results
At this point, the system will return the traffic violation results of the vehicle via camera. If no results are found, it means the vehicle has not incurred a cold penalty.
[2] Lookup camera-based penalties on the website of Vietnam Register
Step 1: Go to the Vietnam Register’s website using the link below: www.vr.org.vn
Step 2: Scroll down and select the Motor Vehicle section for vehicle owners in the Data Lookup section on the right side of the screen.
Step 3: Enter complete information to perform the lookup.
For 5-digit plates: add "T" for white plates, "X" for blue plates, "V" for yellow plates
Similar to current seal numbers, certificate numbers enter the "-" delimiter between letters and numbers.
Step 4: Scroll down, and the screen will display a notification from the competent authority related to the vehicle at the bottom.
If the vehicle has a camera-based penalty, all information will be listed in the returned results section.
If this section is empty, it means that the vehicle has not incurred a camera-based penalty, and the registration process proceeds normally.
If a black box with violation handling information appears below this section, it indicates that the vehicle has not completed the camera-based penalty payment and will be denied registration.
