Duties of the Department for Management and Monitoring of Traffic Safety Conditions
Tasks of the Management and Supervision Department concerning traffic safety conditions as stipulated in Article 7 of Circular 12/2020/TT-BGTVT. To be specific:
- Organize the implementation of tasks assigned in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of this Circular.
- Inspect and monitor technical safety and environmental protection conditions of vehicles; urge and monitor the implementation of technical inspection policies, maintenance, and repair of vehicles; closely inspect and supervise the technical condition of vehicles.
- Manage and monitor mandatory information from the vehicle's journey management devices, image information from the cameras installed on vehicles to promptly warn and prevent violations; use information from the journey management devices of automobiles, image information from the cameras installed on vehicles to serve the management activities of the unit and provide mandatory information of each automobile to competent state agencies when requested; monitor and propose timely repair and replacement of the journey management devices, cameras installed on vehicles; periodically, monthly, quarterly, and annually report violations of the driving staff under the unit.
