Does a Pickup Truck Qualify as a Car?
Section 3.24, Article 3 of the National Technical Regulation QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT stipulates the following regarding pickup trucks (xe pickup):
Pickup trucks (xe pickup), VAN trucks with a permissible freight load under 950 kg, and three-wheeled vehicles with an own weight greater than 400 kg are considered passenger cars in traffic organization.
According to the above regulation, if a pickup truck (xe pickup) has a permissible freight load under 950 kg, it is considered a passenger car.
