Cameras and Screens Used for Automobiles: What Kind of Device Is This?
Based on Section 1.3.2, Part 1 of the National Technical Regulation QCVN 33:2019/BGTVT issued together with Circular 26/2019/TT-BGTVT, the regulations on camera-monitor systems (CMS) for automobiles are as follows:
Camera-monitor system (CMS) is a set of equipment used to observe the rear, side, or front of the vehicle within the observation range specified in Appendix A of this Regulation through the combination of camera and monitor defined as follows:
- Camera is a device that captures images of the external environment and then converts these images into signals (e.g., video signals).
- Monitor is a device that converts signals into images displayed in the visible spectrum observable by the human eye.
