Are ambulances given priority over fire engines at intersections?
According to Article 11 of the National Technical Regulation QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT, the following vehicles have the right of way over other vehicles when passing through an intersection from any direction in the following order:
Fire trucks on duty;
Military vehicles, police vehicles on emergency duty; convoys with police escort;
Ambulances performing emergency missions;
Dike patrol vehicles, vehicles on missions to resolve natural disasters, epidemics or vehicles on emergency missions as prescribed by law;
Funeral processions.

Based on the above provisions, fire trucks will have the right of way over ambulances when passing through an intersection from any direction.
