All Cases of Transporting Over-dimensional and Overweight Goods Must Have Escort Vehicles
According to Clause 3, Article 14 of Circular 46/2015/TT-BGTVT, vehicles transporting oversized and overweight cargo on public roads must have escort vehicles in the following cases:
- When loading cargo onto the transport vehicle with any of the following external dimensions (of the vehicle combination and loaded cargo): width greater than 3.5 meters; length greater than 20 meters;
- At locations where road reinforcement is required.
Therefore, not all cases of transporting oversized and overweight cargo on public roads require escort vehicles. The requirement for escort vehicles only applies to the two cases mentioned above.
