Year 2020, How Many Additional Points Are Granted for University Admission in Region 2?
Based on Clause 5, Article 7 of Circular No. 09/2020/TT-BGDDT (Effective from June 22, 2020) stipulating the priority point framework according to the subjects and areas as follows:
- The difference in admission scores between two successive groups of subjects is 1.0 (one point), and between two successive areas is 0.25 (a quarter of a point) corresponding to the total score of 3 test subjects (in the combination of subjects for consideration) on a 10-point scale for each test subject (without coefficient multiplication);
- Based on the regulation on priority score levels at point a of this clause, schools will determine their priority score levels for admission consideration according to other equivalent grading scales with the priority score/total admission score ratio as stipulated at point a of this clause.
The areas are categorized in order of admission as follows:
- Area 1 (KV1) includes:
Communes in areas I, II, III belonging to ethnic and mountainous regions as regulated during the period the candidate attends high school or secondary school; particularly difficult communes in coastal and island areas; especially difficult communes, border communes, safe zone communes under the investment category of Program 135 according to the regulations by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam;
- Rural Area 2 (KV2-NT) includes:
Localities not belonging to KV1, KV2, KV3;
- Area 2 (KV2) includes:
District-level towns, cities under provincial jurisdiction; district-level towns, suburban districts of centrally governed cities (excluding communes in KV1);
- Area 3 (KV3) includes:
Urban districts of centrally governed cities. Candidates belonging to KV3 are not eligible for regional priority.
=> Therefore, as you are studying in Area 2, you will receive an additional 0.25 points for the combination of 3 test subjects, on a 10-point scale when applying for admission to universities.
Note: In the case of attending different areas during high school, the area with the longer duration will be prioritized.
The above is the support content!
Respectfully!
