When is a Student Considered "Fairly Good"?
To be eligible for the Good student category (Advanced student) for the entire year according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 18 of Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT, you must achieve a conduct grade of Good or higher and an academic performance grade of Good or higher.
According to Clause 2, Article 13 of Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT, the requirements for classifying Good academic performance are as follows:
- The average score of all subjects must be 6.5 or higher, in which the average score of one of the two subjects Mathematics, Literature must be 6.5 or higher; for specialized class students of specialized high schools, the average score of the specialized subject must also be 6.5 or higher;
- No subject's average score is below 5.0;
- Subjects assessed by comments must achieve grade D.
Therefore, if you want to achieve the Good student (Advanced Student) category for the entire year, you must achieve an average score of all subjects of 6.5 or higher, in which the average score of one of the two subjects Mathematics, Literature must be 6.5 or higher.
If you are a specialized class student of a specialized high school, an additional condition is that the average score of the specialized subject must be 6.5 or higher, and the average score of all subjects must not be below 5.0.
