What Policies Does the State Have for Vocational Learners?

I am aware that in the current situation, there are more teachers than apprentices, so the government has policies to encourage those who are unable to pursue further academic studies to switch to vocational training, thus providing a skilled labor force. That is according to the current regulations; I would like to know more about what policies the government had for vocational trainees under the previous regulations?

According to Article 65 of the Vocational Training Law 2006, the policies for vocational learners are stipulated as follows:

  1. Vocational learners are entitled to scholarship and social allowance policies, selection policies, educational credit policies, as well as exemption and reduction of public service fees as prescribed for students in Articles 89, 90, 91, and 92 of the Education Law.

  2. Students graduating from ethnic boarding junior high schools and ethnic boarding high schools, including state-sponsored boarding schools, are directly admitted to vocational intermediate schools.

  3. Students from ethnic boarding high schools who transition to vocational training are entitled to the same policies as those applicable to students from ethnic boarding high schools.

  4. During their vocational training, if vocational learners are called to military service or are unable to continue due to sickness, accidents, maternity, or family difficulties, they are allowed to defer their vocational training results. They can resume their studies to complete their courses. The period for deferring vocational training results shall not exceed four years.
