The exam fee per session is 600,000 VND, an increase of 100,000 VND from last year. Candidates will submit the fee online within 96 hours from registration completion. The Hanoi National University HSA Competency Assessment Exam will be conducted on a computer. The exam duration is 195-199 minutes.

The exam consists of two compulsory sections: Mathematics - Data Processing (50 questions, 75 minutes) and Literature - Language (50 questions, 60 minutes). The third section is optional (50 questions, 60 minutes), where candidates can choose between Science or English. Each section may include an experimental question that is not scored.

What are the incentive points in the consideration for high school graduation recognition in 2025 in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 43 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued together with Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDDT on incentive points:

Article 43. Incentive Points

Learners who participate in the following competitions and activities during high school will be awarded incentive points for the recognition of high school graduation:

  1. Winning individual prizes in student excellence selection exams: Winning first, second, or third prizes in national exams or first prize at the provincial level will receive an additional 2.0 points; consolation prizes in national exams or second prize at the provincial level will receive an additional 1.5 points; third prize at the provincial level will receive an additional 1.0 point;
  1. Winning individual and team prizes in experimental practice competitions for Physics, Chemistry, Biology; cultural performances; sports; defense education sports events; science and technology competitions; international letter writing competitions co-organized by the Education sector with professional sectors from the provincial level upwards.

a) For individual prizes: Winning first, second, or third national prizes or first provincial prize or Gold Medal will receive an additional 2.0 points; consolation national prize or fourth prize in national science and technology competitions or second provincial prize or Silver Medal will receive an additional 1.5 points; third provincial prize or Bronze Medal will receive an additional 1.0 point;

According to the above regulation, the incentive points for the recognition of high school graduation in 2025 are as follows:

Winning individual awards in student excellence selection exams

- Additional 2.0 points: Winning first, second, or third national prizes or first provincial prize

- Additional 1.5 points: Winning a consolation prize in national exams or second provincial prize

- Additional 1.0 point: Winning third provincial prize

Winning individual and team prizes in the following events:

- Experimental practice competitions for Physics, Chemistry, Biology

- Cultural performances

- Sports

- Defense education sports events

- Science and technology competitions

- International letter writing competitions co-organized by the Education sector with professional sectors from the provincial level upwards.

- For individual prizes:

+ Additional 2.0 points: Winning first, second, or third national prizes or first provincial prize or Gold Medal

+ Additional 1.5 points: Winning a consolation national prize or fourth prize in national science and technology competitions or second provincial prize or Silver Medal

+ Additional 1.0 point: Winning third provincial prize or Bronze Medal

- For team prizes:

+ Points are only awarded for national prizes

+ The number of players, athletes, actors in team prizes is according to specific regulations of each competition's Organizing Committee

+ The level of incentive points awarded to individuals in team prizes is implemented as for individual prizes

Note: Learners who win multiple prizes in various competitions/examinations will only receive the incentive points from the highest award category.

Article 3. Exam Subjects

The exam is organized into 3 sessions: one session for Literature, one session for Mathematics, and one session for the elective examination consisting of 2 subjects among the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Computer Science, Industry-Oriented Technology (referred to as Industrial Technology), Agriculture-Oriented Technology (referred to as Agricultural Technology), Foreign Languages (English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean).

According to the above regulation, the compulsory subjects for the high school graduation exam in 2025 include Mathematics and Literature.
