What is School Violence
Based on Clause 2, Article 1 of Decree 80/2017/ND-CP stipulates:
- This Decree applies to preschool educational institutions, general education institutions, continuing education institutions, vocational education institutions, special schools, educational institutions with foreign-invested capital or affiliated with foreign education in Vietnam (hereinafter collectively referred to as educational institutions), literacy classes, foreign language classes, computer science classes, skill training classes, talent training classes, cultural classes, classes for children in difficult circumstances or with special circumstances who cannot attend school (hereinafter collectively referred to as independent classes) with students under 18 years old; related agencies, organizations, and individuals.
Based on Clause 5, Article 2 of Decree 80/2017/ND-CP stipulates:
- School violence is the act of torturing, mistreating, beating; infringing on the body, health; insulting, degrading honor and dignity; isolating, expelling, and other intentional acts causing physical and mental harm to the learner occurring in educational institutions or independent classes.
The above are regulations on school violence and apply to both preschool education and the mentioned subjects.
