What is implementation of organization of training classes according to the method of accumulating modules or credits (according to the latest regulations) in Vietnam? What is implementation of registration of learning volume according to the method of accumulating modules or credits (according to the latest regulations) in Vietnam? Please advise.
1. What is implementation of organization of training classes according to the method of accumulating modules or credits in Vietnam?
In Article 28 of Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBXH (effective from May 15, 2022) there are regulations on organization of training classes according to the method of accumulating modules or credits as follows:
1. Classes are organized according to each subject or module and the learning registration of learners in each semester. The principal shall stipulate the number of mandatory learners for each theory or practice class, ensure conditions for the organization of training are consistent with actual situations, and ensure integrated and practice classes have no more than 18 learners for common professions; no more than 10 learners for heavy, hazardous, and dangerous professions or occupations in accordance with the list promulgated by the Ministry of Labor – War Invalids and Social Affairs.
2. Depending on actual conditions, there can be 2 – 3 semesters per year, including main semesters and sub-semesters. The main semester is compulsory, each main semester has at least 15 weeks, including the actual learning time and exam time. The sub-semester is optional, in the sub-semester, learners will learn subjects or modules that are behind schedule in the main semester, retake failed subjects or modules, improve their grades, or learn in advance subjects or modules in the following semesters if classes are available in the sub-semester. Each sub-semester must have at least 6 weeks, including the actual learning time and exam time.
2. What is implementation of registration of learning volume according to the method of accumulating modules or credits in Vietnam?
In Article 29 of Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBXH (effective from May 15, 2022) there are regulations on registration of learning volume according to the method of accumulating modules or credits as follows:
1. Before each semester, a learner must register for learning volume as per training regulation of the school. The registered learning volume in each semester:
a) The minimum learning volume shall not be less than 2/3 the average volume of a semester according to the learning plan;
b) The maximum learning volume shall not exceed 3/2 the average volume of a semester according to the learning plan;
c) The minimum learning volume is not regulated regarding sub-semesters.
2. Learners may re-register for a subject or module whose final exam grade is D as prescribed in Article 31 of this Circular to improve their accumulative GPA.
3. The registered learning volume of a learner by each semester is recorded in the registration sheet stored by the school.
