What Are the Standards for Evaluating Preschools?

Hello, my name is Thuy Hien, and I am currently a kindergarten teacher. Recently, I learned that the Ministry of Education issued a Circular on the accreditation of educational quality and the recognition of national standards for kindergartens. Since the school where I work has just been established, we are striving step by step to meet these standards. While researching, I came across a few issues I am not quite clear about, and I need your assistance: What are the evaluation standards for kindergartens? Which document regulates this matter?

1. What are the assessment criteria for preschools?

Based on the provisions of Clause 5, Article 2 of Circular 19/2018/TT-BGDDT on quality accreditation and national standard recognition for preschools promulgated by the Minister of Education and Training, effective from October 10, 2018, the assessment criteria for preschools are specified as follows:

The assessment criteria for preschools are the requirements for preschools in a specific content of each standard. Each criterion has indicators.

2. What are the assessment standards for preschools?

According to Clause 4, Article 2 of Circular 19/2018/TT-BGDDT, the provisions are as follows:

The assessment standards for preschools are the requirements for preschools to ensure the quality of activities. Each standard corresponds to a field of activity of the preschool; each standard includes criteria. The assessment standards for preschools have 4 levels (from Level 1 to Level 4) with increasing requirements.

In which, the subsequent level includes all the requirements of the previous level and adds advanced requirements.

3. Assessment levels for preschools

- Preschools are assessed according to the following levels:

+ Level 1: Meets the provisions at Section 1, Chapter II of this Regulation;

+ Level 2: Meets the provisions at Section 2, Chapter II of this Regulation;

+ Level 3: Meets the provisions at Section 3, Chapter II of this Regulation;

+ Level 4: Meets the provisions at Section 4, Chapter II of this Regulation.

- The assessment criterion for preschools is recognized as achieved when all indicators within the criterion meet the requirements. An indicator is recognized as achieved when all the components of the indicator meet the requirements.

Respectfully!
