What are regulations on orientation of technology and informatics education of the Literacy Elimination Program in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Subsection 5, Section IV, Part One of the Literacy Elimination Program issued together with Circular 33/2021/TT-BGDĐT stipulating orientation of technology and informatics education of the Literacy Elimination Program in Vietnam as follows:

Technology education forms and develops in students technological competence with the following components: awareness, communication, technology use and technical design; it also helps students learn and work effectively in the technological environment at home and in society. With a focus on forming and developing design capabilities, technology education has many opportunities and advantages in forming and developing creative and problem-solving capabilities. In addition, technology education also contributes to the formation and development of a number of other specific competencies such as language ability, computing ability, informatics ability, etc.

Technology education equips students with common and core knowledge and skills about technology; students can explore the world of engineering and technology through simple topics about technology and life, some technology products in the family that students come into contact with every day, safe with technology in the home; they can experience engineering and technology design through technical craft activities, assembling simple technical models.

Informatics education forms and develops in students the ability to use and manage information and communication technology means; application of information and communication technology in learning and self-study.

Technology education and informatics education are carried out through Technology module and Informatics module (integrated content in Science subject of phase 2).

Along with other educational contents, technology education and informatics education contribute to the formation and development of students' main qualities and general competencies.

Thematic topics are educational content to help students enhance knowledge and practical skills, apply knowledge to solve some practical problems, and meet learners' professional development requirements.

What are regulations on orientation of language and literary education of the Literacy Elimination Program in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Subsection 1, Section IV, Part One of the Literacy Elimination Program issued together with Circular 33/2021/TT-BGDĐT stipulating orientation of language and literary education of the Literacy Elimination Program in Vietnam as follows:

Language and literary education are carried out mainly in Vietnamese; play an important role in fostering feelings, ideas and forming and developing qualities and capacities for students. Through language, they foster students with key qualities, especially patriotism, compassion, honesty and sense of responsibility; they form and develop students in general competencies and two specific competencies, which are language competence and literary competence.

The core content of the course includes basic and essential knowledge and skills in Vietnamese language and literature; it help students use Vietnamese fluently to communicate effectively in life and study.

The program is designed according to the main circuits corresponding to reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Knowledge of Vietnamese language and literature is integrated in the process of teaching reading, writing, speaking and listening. The materials are selected and arranged in accordance with the students' receptive ability at each stage, each semester.

In addition, in 5th semester, the program builds thematic topics. These topics aim to enhance students' ability to use words, write sentences and apply knowledge in practice.
