What are purposes and requirements of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 2 of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy issued with Decision 2777/QD-BGDDT in 2022 stipulating purposes and requirements of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy in Vietnam as follows:
1. Purpose of the Contest
a) Improve the pedagogical capacity of lecturers: innovate teaching methods, forms and assessment, create conditions for lecturers to study, experience and exchange experiences in pedagogy, strengthen unite and cooperate in order to improve the quality of education and training;
b) Detect, recognize, commend and summarize and disseminate effective models and methods of training, teaching and testing and evaluation in higher education and pedagogical colleges;
c) Contribute to promoting emulation movements and campaigns of the university and the industry; encouraging lecturers to self-practice, study and improve their professional qualifications and capacity;
d) Serve as a basis for assessing the pedagogical capacity of lecturers, as a basis for management agencies and schools to direct the renewal of teaching methods, examination and evaluation, and professional training of teachers. of teachers to meet the requirements of improving training quality.
2. Contest Requirements
a) Strictly comply with the provisions of this Charter and other relevant current regulations; ensure objectivity, publicity, transparency, fairness and safety in order to achieve the purpose of the Contest;
b) Reflect the reality of education and training innovation and the currently implemented campaigns and emulation movements of the education sector.

The title of excellent teacher in pedagogy is a form of recognition, commendation and honor by a competent authority for teachers in an educational institution who have achieved achievements at a contest.
What are regulations on the place and time for organization of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 4 of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy issued with Decision 2777/QD-BGDDT in 2022 stipulating the place and time for organization of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy in Vietnam as follows:
1. Place: To be determined by the Organizing Committee.
2. Time: The competition is held every 4 years, it can be held later or earlier but not more than 01 year and decided by the Ministry of Education and Training.
What are the content and format of the national exam for excellent teachers of pedagogy in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 5 of the National Competition of Excellent Teachers of Pedagogy issued with Decision 2777/QD-BGDDT in 2022 stipulating the content and format of the national exam for excellent teachers of pedagogy in Vietnam as follows:
1. The exam content includes professional and professional issues as prescribed in legal documents, organization and operation regulations of educational institutions:
a) Law on Education; Law on Higher Education; Law on Vocational Education;
b) Regulations on: Working regime for lecturers; teacher ethics; standards and professional titles of lecturers;
c) Student regulations;
d) General understanding of: National qualification framework, training program standards of industry groups, innovation in higher education, quality assurance of higher education, higher education and student age psychology, modern methods of teaching and testing, assessment in higher education and pedagogical colleges.
2. Other contest contents as prescribed by the Organizing Committee.
3. Requirements for exam content:
a) Reflect the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State's laws and policies, the rules, regulations and regulations of the education sector on objectives, contents, programs, teaching methods and assessment methods;
b) Reflect the characteristics of the pedagogical profession; demonstrate the knowledge, skills and pedagogical capacity of teachers in handling relationships: With students, with colleagues; with educational administrators; with the community (parents, educational institutions, production and business establishments, human resource management agencies and local authorities, etc);
c) Reflect the current campaigns and emulation movements of the education and training sector;
d) Reflect the issues of higher education that society is concerned about such as: Innovation, digital transformation, international integration, training of highly qualified human resources, entrepreneurship, school culture, etc;
dd) Introduce domestic and foreign scientific publications, transferred and applied scientific and technological research results to practice, community activities, products registered for intellectual property (if applicable) contribute to the innovation of education quality.
4. Specific exam content includes: Greeting - introduction; educational understanding; training program development; handling pedagogical situations; guide and advise students to study and practice; lecture exam; present; Rhetoric; lecturer uniforms; talent; design community activities; design activities to support students' study and practice; presentations on practical applications and effectiveness of scientific works; report on results and orientation of scientific research; equipment creation - teaching aids; community development activities associated with training and scientific research; scientific articles; assess education and training issues; teaching records; designing lessons to develop learners' capacity; report on ideas or practical experiences in renovating teaching and assessment methods.
5. Each Contest consists of 2 parts: Compulsory exam and elective part, each contest consists of 01 or more contest contents specified in Clause 4 of this Article, decided by the Organizing Committee of each Contest. The elective part can be proposed by the contestant and approved by the Organizing Committee.
6. There are 02 forms of competition: Team competition and individual competition. Each participating team completes all the mandatory tests and at least 1 elective part registered by the contestant. Each individual taking the exam takes 01 compulsory exam and 01 elective part registered by the unit.
7. Instructions on the time, form of presentation, specific requirements of each content for each form of competition shall be prescribed by the Competition Organizing Committee and notified to the participating teams and lecturers at least before the competition at least 01 month; The time to show the content of the elective exam proposed by the unit does not exceed 10 minutes.
