What documents are required for enrollment for candidates taking the entrance exam for 10th grade in Hanoi?

Under Subsection 2, Section 2, Appendix 2, issued together with the Official Dispatch 1006/SGDDT-QLT in 2024 by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, there are regulations regarding the residency requirements for candidates applying for 10th grade enrollment as follows:

ENROLLMENT APPLICATION AND ADMISSION DOCUMENTS

1. Enrollment application documents:

a) Application form for 10th-grade enrollment for the 2024-2025 academic year (Appendix XI, Form M01);

b) Birth certificate (Certified copy accompanied by the original for verification or a certified copy);

c) Graduation certificate from lower secondary school (Original copy or certified copy) or Temporary certificate of lower secondary school graduation (for students graduating from lower secondary school in the 2023-2024 academic year) issued by lower secondary schools, multi-level schools, or centers for continuing education and vocational training;

d) Academic record (Original copy);

e) Identification card or Citizen identification card or other legal proof of residence in Hanoi for the student, parent, or guardian of the student (Certified copy accompanied by the original for verification or a certified copy).

f) Certificate of priority entitlement issued by the competent authority, permission to advance to a higher grade, or permission to start or delay schooling compared to the general regulations at the lower level of education (if applicable);

g) Certificate confirming "not being in the period of serving a prison sentence; not being under non-custodial reform or violating the law" issued by the local authority at the commune or ward of residence (for independent candidates - candidates who have graduated from lower secondary school).

2. Submission of enrollment application documents

a) Students graduating from lower secondary school in the 2023-2024 academic year at district-level educational management agencies submit their enrollment application documents at the educational management agencies where the student is currently studying.

b) Independent candidates; candidates studying in provinces outside of Hanoi submit their enrollment application documents at the Education and Training Department office in the place where the candidate (or parent or guardian of the candidate) resides.

c) Students graduating from lower secondary school in the 2023-2024 academic year in provinces and cities in the Northern region from Thanh Hoa onwards, who meet the conditions for applying for specialized classes or non-specialized classes at Chu Van An High School, submit their enrollment application documents at the Education and Training Department office in Cau Giay district (485 Nguyen Khang Street, Cau Giay district).

3. Admission documents, document withdrawal

- All enrollment application documents mentioned in section III.1 above (except the application form for 10th-grade enrollment for the 2024-2025 academic year) will be returned to students along with the exam result notification on July 5-6, 2024, at the educational establishment where the student registered for enrollment.

- Students will use these documents to enroll in high schools, centers for continuing education and vocational training, or professional education management agencies if they meet the admission requirements.

- During the enrollment period, students who have submitted admission documents have the right to withdraw their documents (if desired); schools will facilitate the withdrawal of documents and removal of names from the list of successful candidates, and simultaneously cancel the admission confirmation in the Education and Training database. In case students who have been admitted and confirmed their enrollment wish to transfer to another province or city for study, the school will process the transfer procedures and not remove the student's name from the list of successful candidates.
