What are conditions for learning two college-level training programs at the same time in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 8 of Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating on learning two programs at the same time as follows:

1. Conditions for learning two programs at the same time

a) The learner has submitted a written request on learning two programs at the same time;

b) The learner has completed the first semester of the program with a training time from one to two years or has completed the second semester of the program with a training time of more than two years. The learning result of each semester completed in the first program must at least be good;

c) The learner must not be in the period of suspension of his/her current program or be disciplined by the school from a warning level or higher or prosecuted for criminal liability.

2. Learners subject to adjustment of learning progress or expulsion from the first program will receive expulsion from the second program.

3. The time for learners to complete two programs at the same time is prescribed in Clause 3 Article 3 of this Circular.

According to this Article, you need to finish the second semester, the learning result must at least be good, and not during in the period of suspension of your current program, or be disciplined by the school from a warning level or higher or prosecuted for criminal liability, you can apply for an application to study two programs at the same time in Vietnam.

What is maximum time for learners to complete the college-level training program in Vietnam? 

According to Clause 3, Article 3 of Circular 04/2022/TT-BLDTBXH, the maximum time for learners to complete the program is as follows:

a) The maximum time for learners to complete the program includes the learning time of subjects, modules, and the time for the graduation exam or defense of graduation thematic assignment or thesis decided by the principal, ensuring such time does not exceed 1,5 times the training time regarding two to three-year programs and 2 times the training time regarding training programs from one to under two years, excluding the preservation time specified in Clause 2 Article 9 of this Circular;

b) The maximum time for a learner who participates in two programs at the same time is the maximum time to complete training programs with longer training time, starting from the beginning of the first training program;

c) The principal may consider and decide to extend the maximum training time in cases where learners have certificates of disabilities as per regulation of the Law on People with Disabilities;

d) The Ministry of Labor – War Invalids and Social Affairs shall cooperate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in stipulating the maximum time for training programs of professions and occupations in particular fields of culture, arts, and sports.

Thus, the maximum time for you to participate in two programs at the same time is the maximum time to complete training programs with longer training time, starting from the beginning of the first training program. Time for learners to complete the program is regulated by the above law in Vietnam.
