Vietnam: When will the application for tuition fee reduction be submitted?

Point b Clause 1 Article 5 of Joint Circular 09/2016/TTLT-BGDDT-BTC-BLDTBXH stipulates:

Within 45 days from the start date of the school year, parents (or guardians) of kindergarten children, primary and secondary school students, students studying in lower and upper secondary education programs at continuing education centers; students and learners at vocational education institutions, and higher education institutions in Vietnam must submit an application for tuition fee exemption, reduction, and financing for study costs, accompanied by copies of documents proving eligibility for tuition fee exemption, reduction, and financing for study costs to the educational institution;

Thus, if your child is entering grade 6 and is eligible for tuition fee reduction, you must submit an application for tuition fee reduction and copies of documents proving eligibility to the school your child will attend within 45 days from the start date of the school year.
