- Literature: 8:00 AM June 2, 2024.
- Foreign Language: 2:30 PM June 2, 2024.
- Mathematics: 8:00 AM June 3, 2024.
- Specialized Subject: 8:00 AM June 4, 2024 (for candidates taking the exam to Le Quy Don Specialized High School).

What Are the Three Methods of Admission to Grade 10 in 2024?
Clause 2, Article 5 of the Regulations for Secondary School and High School Admissions, issued with Circular 11/2014/TT-BGDDT, stipulates as follows:
Admission Subjects and Methods
- Admission subjects are learners who have graduated from secondary school under the General Education Program or the Continuing Education Program with the age stipulated in Clause 2, Article 2 of these Regulations.
2. High school admissions are organized via one of the following three methods:
a) Admission based on the results of the conduct and study of the students during 4 years in secondary school. If a student repeats a grade, the result for the repeated year will be considered;
b) Entrance exam;
c) Combination of entrance exam and admission based on academic records.
Therefore, the three methods of admission to Grade 10 are as follows:
- Admission based on the results of the conduct and study of the students during 4 years in secondary school. If a student repeats a grade, the result for the repeated year will be considered.

- Combination of entrance exam and admission based on academic records.
Who Are Included in Group 3 for Additional Priority Points in the 2024 Grade 10 Entrance Exam?
Point b, Clause 2, Article 7 of the Regulations for Secondary School and High School Admissions issued with Circular 11/2014/TT-BGDDT, as amended by Clause 4, Article 1 of Circular 05/2018/TT-BGDDT, stipulates direct admissions and priority policies as follows:
Direct Admissions, Priority Policies
- Direct admissions to high school apply to the following subjects:
a) Students of ethnic minority boarding schools;
b) Students of very small ethnic groups;
c) Students with disabilities;
d) Students who win national and international prizes in culture; arts; sports; national science and engineering competitions for secondary and high school students.
- Subjects eligible for additional priority points.
The Department of Education and Training stipulates additional points for each group of subjects eligible for priority points with a difference of 0.5 points (based on a scale of 10) between consecutively prioritized groups, including:
a) Group 1:
- Children of martyrs;
- Children of war veterans with 81% or more loss of working capacity;
- Children of war invalids with 81% or more loss of working capacity;
- Children of those issued the "Certificate of entitlement to policies like war invalids whose loss of working capacity is 81% or more."
- Children of revolution participants affected by chemical toxins;
- Children of revolution participants before January 1, 1945;
- Children of revolution participants from January 1, 1945, to the August 1945 Revolution.
b) Group 2:
- Children of Heroes of the Armed Forces, children of Labor Heroes, children of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers;
- Children of war veterans with less than 81% loss of working capacity;
- Children of war invalids with less than 81% loss of working capacity;
- Children of those issued the "Certificate of entitlement to policies like war invalids whose loss of working capacity is less than 81%."
c) Group 3:
- Persons with a father or mother who is an ethnic minority;
- Ethnic minorities;
- Learners living and studying in particularly difficult socio-economic areas.
Therefore, Group 3 for additional priority points in the 2024 Grade 10 entrance exam includes:
- Persons with a father or mother who is an ethnic minority;
- Ethnic minorities;
- Learners living and studying in particularly difficult socio-economic areas.
